20th century, the obelisk and plinth in chestnut toned leather veneer with gilt borders (22 1/2 x 6 x 6 in.) (some minor abrasions, rubbing to gilt); the sculpture depicting St. George slaying the dragon, upon a conforming green hardstone plinth with engraved cachet "1899-1937," appears unsigned (12 3/8 x 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 in.) (cracks and repair to stone, edge chips and scuffs to stone, sculpture mount is loose, applied patina).
