Attributed to eastern North Carolina, circa 1800, walnut secondary on rear rail, shaped crest rail with relief carved central shell, ears with relief carved rosette, pierced back splat with lower stylized quatrefoil set within a molded shoe, over-upholstered seat, molded square straight front legs with inside chamfer, flush mounted stretcher base, down-swept rear legs.
