Hannah Mary Blumer was born in South Sheilds, Durham, England on June 26, 1829 to Luke Blumer and Mary Burnett. She married Reverend John Owen and had 15 children, of which at least eight lived to adulthood. She passed away on March 6, 1901 in Hartlepool, Durham, England.
