Native to New York, Marylin began studying horses from life at an early age from her own experience as a stable owner in the Long Island area. She studied at Adelphi College and Alfred University, and also worked closely with Paul Brown, renowned horse illustrator and author.
Marilyn won many awards throughout her career and completed commissions to sculpt famous race horses including Man o' War, Majestic Light, Triple Crown, and Affirmed. Se was an elected Associate Member of the National Academy of Design.
