Twenty-Four Piece Meissen Yellow Dragon China Service

Stylized dragon and phoenix design, painted in yellow brown and iron red with gilt accents, to include: (7) plates (9 3/4 in.); (5) salad plates ( 8 1/4 in.); (2) soup bowls (9 1/4 in.) (both with chips, one with glued repair); (6) bread plates, two of which have red wax seals to underside (6 1/4 in.) (two with rim chips); (2) oval platters (22 x 10 1/2 in. largest) (rim chip to larger); square serving dish (7 1/4 in.) (loss to upper rim); gravy boat (3 1/2 x 10 x 7 1/4 in.) (scattered restoration to handles and undertray). All pieces with second quality mark (two slash mark), save two plates with fine quality mark; some pieces with faint glaze of 1896 to undersides.
