Late 19th century, appears unsigned, likely Brienz, cubic form, hinged lid with carved bird grouping (after Moigneux?), two rectangular carved stag panel doors to front, side panels with carved evergreens, the posterior with carved foliate and stipple design, opening to a three tiered upholstered case fitted for 27 cigars, raised on a rectangular base with four splayed bracket feet.

Some side panels loose, back left with crack; right front door detached; signs of old glue repairs to joints; some scattered scratches; some wear to upholstery; figural top with some chips and loss to one bird leg.
