Thomas B. Craig was born in Philadelphia and spent his career painting pastoral scenes in the northeastern United States. A lifelong member of the National Academy of Design and the Salmagundi Club, Craig frequently exhibited in the most prestigious art venues as well as at major public expositions of the day.

Overall light craquelure; small repair to canvas left of center; some minor chipping to frame.
