Circa 1840, cherry, mahogany and maple veneers, poplar secondary, top with rounded edge, tiger maple vertical veneered frieze, upper cock beaded fall-front drawer with banded inlay and flame mahogany veneers, interior with leather writing surface, divided and drawered compartments, over three recessed graduated drawers with repeating cock beading and banded inlay, flanked by fully turned and carved columns, paneled sides, ring turned feet.

Old surface with staining; tight shrinkage crack to the right side of top; some cock beading loss; no key; later leather writing surface; front left foot missing boss/cap.
