Both specimens recovered off the North Carolina coast at a depth of 110 ft., the first a 4-3/4 in. tooth with a dark brown root beneath gray enamel having red accents, glossy with strong serrations; the second a 3 in. woody brown tooth with full enamel and excellent color; retains serration; both specimens set against dowels on a natural marine concretion.
