Elaborate Sevres Type Ormolu Mounted Center Bowl

Late 19th century, gilt metal mounted coupe form pedestal bowl painted in pastel tones with a courting couple, signed "C. Velly", and the opposite side with a landscape, the interior with scattered flowers, raised on a shaped footed plinth, stamped on the underside of the pedestal with spurious blue marks.

13 x 20 x 11 1/4 in.

Interior rim appears to have had a gilt metal band removed leaving residue; wear to pedestal plinth.
