Circa 1840, mahogany veneer, poplar and white pine secondary, rectangular top with flame mahogany veneer, fall front upper drawer with raised convex panel, interior with green leather writing surface, hinged prospect door with drawered interior flanked by two flush rosewood front document drawer with gilt decoration (accessible by reaching to the back of the prospect pigeon hole and pushing the drawers outward), flanked by four figured maple drawers and pigeon holes, the lower portion of the case with two hinged paneled cabinet doors with shelved interior, flanked by fully turned columns, paneled sides on front carved feet.

Surface stains and scratches to the top and front; some small veneer chips; fall front panel not locking properly; later leather writing surface.
