Rose was born,1956, in Adelaide, Australia, lives in Knoxville, Tennessee. He
studied history, art and printmaking and ceramics, receiving a Bachelor of Education and an Australia Arts and Crafts Technical Certificate. He apprenticed in Japan and England before moving to Knoxville in 1985. Then in 1989 he opened his business, Potters Pond Pottery, now called Peter Rose Ceramics. His works have been the subject of numerous publications and awards.
