Each set with a round cultured pearl (8.3mm) encircled by prong set round cut rubies weighing approximately 1.56 total carats alternating with full cut round diamonds weighing approximately .48 total carat (F-G color, VS clarity), completed with posts, stamped H / 18K and BS&F for Black, Starr & Frost.

Pearls display a white body color with rose overtones, good luster, lightly spotted surface and acceptable nacre quality.

Known as one of America's first fine jewelry stores, Black, Starr, and Frost had its beginnings in 1810 in New York City, and later became the first retailer on Fifth Avenue. Their exquisite designs were sought after by the wealthy and royal, even earning them a mention, along with Cartier and Tiffany's, in Marilyn Monroe's song, "Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend."
