Circa 1840, tondo form wax relief plaques, the first modeled after Sir Joshua Reynolds' (1723-1792) The Infant Academy; the second modeled after Thomas Lawerence's (1769-1830) The Calmady Children. Both with incised inscription to lower tondo border, presented behind glass in uniform parcel gilt frames with cove molded deep crimson upholstered matting.


Frame dimensions: 14 x 14 in.; relief size approximately 6.5 in. diameter

Both pieces with cracks and hairlines to plaques; frames with some scattered wear, rubbing to gilt, and looseness to backings; not examined out of the frames.
