The first a mixed media on paper by Jim Shell, signed and dated 1995, framed and retaining artist's label to the verso (Frame dimensions 8 3/4 x 7 in.); the second a woven fabric mosaic by José Fumero, titled Medicí Mother and Child, signed and titled on the verso, retains Somerhill Gallery label to the verso, framed (Frame dimensions 12 1/2 x 10 1/2 in.).

Jim Shell is a Raleigh based artist completing original paintings and portraits.

Born in Cuba, José Fumero (1925-2016) lived in NC - Charlotte and Blowing Rock, since the mid-1950s with his life partner, the renowned ceramic artist Herb Cohen.

Both works in good estate condition.
