Ink and watercolor with some gouache on paper, one with partial monogram, one with title and artist's name to matting (possibly in his hand), views include Skelton Yorkshire, bridge at Würtzburg (Bavaria), and a third courtyard town scene, each with outside information affixed to verso, in similar framing.

Frame dimensions 19 x 15 3/4 in. (the largest; other sizes vary slightly)

Samuel Prout was a British watercolorist known for European townscapes and landscapes. He travelled extensively throughout Europe throughout the 1820s in Prague, France, Germany, and other countries. Prout was appointed Painter in Water-Colors[sic] in Ordinary to King George IV and later Queen Victoria. He also had a number of significant students and followers who were inspired by his work, including John Ruskin and David Roberts.

Toning and some scattered foxing, some more so than others; not examined out of frames.
