Lester Gunter began his formal studies at The Jamaica School of Art in 1958. He continued his studies at the Art Students League of New York from 1968 to 1970 and the National Academy of Fine Art from 1970 to 1972. Gunter has been honored with several solo exhibitions of his work, including the Alabama State University, Tuscaloosa, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York, The Jamaica Contemporary Association, Kingston, and The Ratner Museum, Bethesda, Maryland. Gunter's paintings are in the Paul R. Jones Collection of American Art at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and the North Carolina Central University Museum of Art in Durham.

Good estate condition.
