Bernard Dunstan was a respected British artist, teacher and author. His evocative and emotional interior scenes recall the influence of Pierre Bonnard, Édouard Vuillard and Walter Sickert. He was a member of the New English Art Club and was the longest serving Royal Academician upon his death, having been elected in 1968. He also served as president of the Royal West of England Academy from 1979 until 1984.

Paintings by Dunstan are in such prominent public and private collections as The Royal Collection and the National Portrait Gallery, London.

Very good estate condition; no evidence of restoration visible under UV light.
