Early 19th century, mahogany, light and dark wood veneers, shaped hinged lid with banded inlay, interior of lid with starburst inlay, divided and inlaid compartment, front of case with faux-stop fluted and banded inlays, flush base.

No key; veneer chip to lid at rear of right side; shrinkage crack to left side of case; other small veneer chips and old staining.
