Leslie Worth studied at the Bideford Art School and Royal College of Art. He embraced and mastered the fickle medium of watercolors after two of his watercolors were accepted for the for Royal Academy summer exhibition in 1951.

Worth was a member of the Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Watercolor Society, New English Art Club, the Institut Européen de l'Aquarelle and the Artists' General Benevolent Institution. His work features in many major collections including those of the Queen, the Prince of Wales, and the Royal Academy.
