Early 20th century, including: (7) works by Theodore Charles Ferdinand Brochtie (1876-1937), Scottish artist and author, including (3) in pencil and (4) in pen and ink, all signed, some with inscribed date and/or landscape location (largest sight size 9 x 9 in.; mat size 14 3/4 x 14 5/8 in.); (2) works depicting figures at the shore, by John S. Taylor, both signed to lower right corner, landscape location inscribed to lower left (sight size 6 1/2 x 9 3/4 in.; mat size 12 1/2 x 15 3/8 in.); (3) small works, all appear unsigned, including two pen and ink sketches of Scottish estates (largest sight size 2 3/4 x 8 3/4 in.; mat size 8 1/2 x 14 3/8 in.), and a pencil sketch of John Brown gravesite monument in Priesthill, titled and inscribed to lower left (2 3/4 x 4 3/4 in.; mat size 8 1/2 x 10 3/8 in.); the final piece a pencil sketch of a coastal scene, on light green toned paper, initialed C.E. to lower left (sight size 3 3/8 x 4 5/8 in.; mat size 9 1/4 x 10 1/2 in.).

Some scattered foxing and toning to sheet; some scattered wear and marks to matting.
