Berlin KPM Porcelain Plaque, The Penitent Mary Magdalene

Late 19th century, oval form, the verso with impressed sceptre and KPM, depicting a recumbent Mary draped in blue reading the scriptures, after "Bussende Magdalena" by Pomepo Batoni (1708-1787), not signed. Housed in a Belle Epoque Rococo style gilt wood gesso frame.

Frame 14 x 11 1/2 in.; Plaque 6 3/4 x 8 7/8 in.

Plaque good condition; frame with losses, repairs, touch-ups.
