Violet Edgecombe Jenkins, nee Shepherd, was a painter and illustrator of children's books. She exhibited extensively throughout the first quarter of the 20th century, showing works at the Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, Royal Academy, Royal Scottish Academy, and Royal Society of Painters in Water Color.
