Watercolor on paper, late 19th century, to include "Venetian Fantasy - The Plea" and "Venetian Fantasy - The Gondola", this one being signed "E. Buckman" lower left; both behind mats in modern gilt wooden frames with UV protective glass.

Edwin Buckman studied at the Birmingham School of Art before continuing in Paris and Italy. He regularly exhibited at the Royal Watercolor Society and the Royal Academy. His fame was such that he was engaged as the drawing master to Queen Alexandra.
