Private Collection of a North Carolinian

Glen Rounds was born in a sod house in South Dakota. Before his first birthday, he and his family moved to Montana by covered wagon. He grew up on ranches and would draw scenes of everyday life. He studied at the Kansas City Art Institute and later at the Art Students League of New York.

Rounds was a noted illustrator and author. His charming illustrations inspired children, and adults, beginning in the 1930s and over the course of many decades. He eventually settled in Southern Pines, North Carolina.

Minor creases to sheets upon which the illustrations are affixed. Not examined out of the frame.
