Attributed to Edenton, circa 1760, one board circular top with battens and dovetailed full box, ring turned standard with urn raised on arched tripod base with distinctive relief carved bosses, beveled ankles, raised snake pad feet.

29 x 29.75 x 29.5 in.

A good example featuring a high grade one board top; excellent shadow marks on box and clasp to top; and distinctive carvings and features.

Some staining and surface spotting to top; later key; all feet original: one with hairline crack and later metal underside brace to foot; tight shrinkage crack at lower standard before cap; one leg slightly loose at standard joint.
