Mike Northius holds a BA from Hope College in Michigan, and both a BFA and MFA from UNC-Greensboro. Mike has taught all levels of painting and drawing at UNC-Greensboro, Guilford College and Art Alliance in Greensboro. His work has been exhibited in many major museums and showplaces in the southeast including the Corcoran Gallery in Washington, D.C., the Norton Gallery in West Palm Beach, Florida, the Georgia Museum of Art, Athens, Georgia, the New Orleans Museum of Art, New Orleans, Louisiana, the Weatherspoon Museum of Art at UNCG, The North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art in Winston-Salem and the Columbia Museum of Art, Columbia, South Carolina.
