Second half 20th century, solid mahogany with yellow pine secondary, rectangular top with molded edge and cut corners, one over three lipped drawers, the lower center with shell carving, acorn drop finials, tall cabriole legs with pad feet, labeled to underside.

Preston “Pug” Moore was a lifelong resident of Rocky Mount. After graduating from the local high school, he went to work in his father’s business Moore’s Antique Shop and became a master craftsman of reproduction18th century style furniture. His works are in numerous historic sites in North Carolina including Tryon Palace, Historic Halifax, the Governor’s Mansion in Raleigh and Hope Plantation in New Bern.

Some small surface scratches to the top; surface mold present.
