Arthur Cleveland Nash was a Beaux-Arts trained New York architect. He is best known for his design work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, including the Wilson Library and the Carolina Inn.

The present drawing is from his studies at the Beaux Arts Institute in Paris, where he was a student of Jean Louis Pascal from 1895 until 1900.
