Armand Guéry was born in Reims, France. He first exhibited his paintings in 1880 at the Société des Amis des Arts in Reims. By 1883, he was living in Paris and exhibited at numerous salons and was featured in the L'Exposition de Paris in 1900.

Poor condition - surface grime; craquelure; "T" form tear in upper left quadrant with associated paint loss; scattered white paint flecks; no evidence of restoration visible under UV light.
