Early 19th century, the larger sarcophagus form in rosewood veneer with mother of pearl escutcheon, divided and lidded interior, wood ring handles to sides, brass ball feet (7 x 13 x 6 in.); and a mahogany and mixed wood veneer box with light and dark wood inlays, bone escutcheon, lead lined interior, brass ball and claw feet (6 x 8 x 5.25 in.).

Small areas of old veneer loss to rosewood lid at front right corner; missing glass mixing well; slight warp to interior lids; inlaid box with slight warp to lid.
