19th century, the first is a redware jar attributed to East Tennessee, lead glazed with manganese brushed on and concentric line decoration, extruded handles (9 3/4 x 8 in.) (some rim chips; base erosion); the second is an alkaline canning jar, Western NC (8 1/4 x 5 in.) (extensive rim chipping; some base erosion). Both appear unsigned.
