Richardson is best known for his still lifes, but he also was an accomplished landscape painter. For a short period, roughly 1907-1912, he also worked as an illustrator for several New York based magazines and book publishers. He exhibited frequently throughout his lifetime, showing work at the Albright Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York and the Art Students League of New York.
