Sid Oakley was a native of Granville County, North Carolina. In 1968 he and his wife, Pat, founded Cedar Creek Pottery and Gallery in his home county. Named a North Carolina Living Treasure in 1989, Oakley mentored and championed hundreds, if not thousands, of contemporary artists and craftspeople. He was particularly known for his glazing techniques and his work is in the permanent collections of many major museums.

Good estate condition; few minor, light creases; some age to exhibition poster; not examined out of frames.
