Three Cylindrical Stoneware Storage Jars

The first is a one gallon, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, marked in blue stencil "SUPERIOR" within a banner attributed to A.P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, West Virginia, circa 1880 ( 9 1/2 x 6 in.) (1/2 in. inner rim chip; loss of glaze to upper rim; tight branching hairline from throat); the second is a one gallon jar converted to a lamp base, marked "A.P. DONAGHHO" (15 1/2 in. to top of socket) (area of fill below wooden lamp cap); the third is stamped "P. Herrmann / one g" within a circle, Baltimore MD circa 1875 (10 x 6 in.) (three rim hairlines with interior branching; horizontal 6 in. hairline above base; other base hairlines).
