Antique American Needlework with Eagle and Verse, Isabella Clark

Worked in multi-color silk on linen, top register centered with an eagle between floral -filled urns, with pious verse above cartouche with maker's name and date, "Isabella Clark / Aged 10 Years / 1836" (possibly 1834) flanked on each side with a dog and urns, all within an undulating strawberry border, presented under glass in a contemporary grain painted frame. With attached string tag reading "Isabelle Clark, Age 10 / Colrain, Franklin, Mass." Verse is from hymn "The Lord My Pasture Shall Prepare" from a poem written by Joseph Addison (British 1672-1719).
