The first, circa 1860s, marked SALTER & CO with a JW. inspector's mark, the leather scabbard with brass tip (20-1/2 in. length overall) (some light pitting to socket; scabbard intact, good condition); the second a Pattern 1895 Martini-Enfield, marked with Crown /16 / E and dated 12 '99, the leather scabbard with brass mounts, the throat having a broad arrow over WD (25-3/4 in. length overall) (splits and losses to leather; some moderate rusting).
