Civil War Era Drum Shell and Later Fife
Lot Details & Additional Photographs
The drum by an unknown maker, the rims left their natural color while the shell is stained red and has an incised floral design around the side holes (overall wear and scuffs, but solid and a good candidate for restoration); the fife a Crosby model by George Cloos, probably early 20th century, ebony with german silver ferrules (17 in.) (a few marks and owner's initials, else very good condition).
