Medical Artifact Grouping, 19th - Early 20th Century

To include: a cased 19th century surgical kit, comprising six instruments stamped S.G. OTTO & SONS (sometimes with N.Y.) and a tourniquet with a buckle stamped PARIS, presented in lined mahogany case with key and working lock (3-1/3 x 14-1/2 x 4-1/4 in.) (fading to velvet lining; lacking the smallest instrument; wear from normal use); plus a wooden medicine box by Whitall, Tatum & Co., circa 1910, with twelve (12) stoppered bottles, two compartments and a operable lock on the lid (5 x 9 x 5-3/4 in.) (some scuffs to the box, else very good condition); plus two portable instrument kits in leather cases, one with an array of scalpels and hooks and the other with a pair of tweezers only.
