Pennsylvania Chippendale Walnut Inlaid Blanket Chest

Circa 1780, poplar secondary, rectangular top with applied molded edge, wrought iron fish tail hinges, interior with till to the right side with two lower side-by-side drawers, till with false side panel (now removed but present) to conceal the two side-by-side drawers, dovetailed case, central panel with vine and leaf design, applied waist molding, three side-by-side lipped drawers with shaped light wood line inlay, applied molded base raised on ogee bracket feet with spurs.

Top with scratches and wear; later lock and clasp; false till board loose but present; replaced pulls; some small areas of fill and repair to inlays; original feet, the front right side foot facing tip and repaired.
