1870s, dark blue wool with silk lining, the body fitted with fourteen 23mm gilt Eagle "C" buttons on the front and four on the back (Alberts CV1B3), plus three conforming cuff buttons on each sleeve (36 in. high; sleeves 24-1/4 in.; 14 in. between sleeves) (fracturing to silk at the collar with further wear to the lining on the body; lacking shoulder straps; the buttons are pristine and the wool is solid and appears free of mothing).
