Circa 1780, white pine secondary, dovetailed case, hinged slant lid with molded lipped edge and breadboard ends, loper support, interior with central small drawer flanked by two document drawers, document drawers with lead pencil and chalk inscriptions, flanked by two pigeon holes above one small drawer flanked by two relief carved fan drawers, all above three side-by-side drawers, the case with four conforming graduated flush-mounted drawers, molded horizontal drawer stiles, applied molded base, raised on front bold, ball and claw feet with talons, rear ogee bracket feet with spur.

44.25 x 43.5 x 24 in. Case width 40.75 in.

Cut, patch, and repair at top board by escutcheon; replaced lock, pulls, and hinges; dark staining to interior writing surface; some drawer runners rebuilt; later drawer guides; old but later front ball and claw feet; original rear ogee feet with some breaks and repairs and later block to extend height.
