Salge was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and attended San Antonio College and La Villita School of Art. Previously Salge worked as Television art director, an Army illustrator, and Advertising agency art director, and free-lance graphic designer and illustrator. Since the 1990's, Wayne has devoted his time to creating bronze and stone abstract figural sculptures, as well as paintings in oils and acrylics. He has created several public art installations in Colorado, Florida, South Carolina, and Arkansas. His works have been exhibited at Saks Galleries in Denver, Colorado; Columbie Gallery in Loveland, Colorado; Wilde Meyer Gallery in Tucson and Scottsdale, Arizona; among other venues. Wayne currently lives and works in Johnstown, Colorado.
