Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Circa 1900, solid carved mahogany frames, including two armchairs and six side chairs with shaped crest rail with central carved stylized shell, vasiform back-splat with chamfered rear edge, plush flame stitch style upholstered slip seats, molded seat rail, front cabriole legs, rear down-swept legs, unmarked.
Armchair 41.5 x 21.5 x 19 in., seat height 19.5 in.
A well crafted set of eight matched chairs with an attractive deep mellow patina, having good tight joinery.
Overall good usable condition; one armchair back splat with upper break and repair to left return, the same chair with patch to right front knee (likely from original knot pop-out).
