The first of oval form designed in yellow gold with a stippled ground and a conforming bamboo motif border and with an applied seated Buddha with a green cabochon gemstone (likely jade) and with an airplane in the distance, completed with toggle findings with round cabochon jade terminals, stamped 14K and engraved "Christmas 1964 / Bob Hope" (7/8 x 1 in.) (11.4 dwt.); the second of circular form with a goldtone support centering on an applied bust depicting Bob Hope, completed with toggle findings (1 1/8 in. diameter) (not weighed).

From the Collection of the late Lt. Col. R.C. Beasley (Annandale, VA / Pinehurst, NC) and by descent

Gifted to Lt. Col. R.C. Beasley by Bob Hope in recognition of his contribution to the production of the 1964 USO Christmas Tour and accompanied by original presentation boxes. Each year, Mr. Hope presented gifts specific to the tour to each member of the production crew. A complete collection of these gifts resides at the National Museum of the US Air Force in Dayton, Ohio.
