2nd half 19th century, .38 caliber, 42-1/4 in. octagonal barrel with two fixed sights, a GOULCHER marked commercial iron lock with set trigger; the trigger guard, buttplate, nose cap, and three ramrod pipes are brass.

Possible conversion from flintlock, wooden ramrod with repaired break; pleasing old surfaces to barrel; lock with pitting; scuffs and dings to stock from use; split wood with crude pin repair at breech over lockplate. Overall very good condition.
