Both watercolor and gouache on paper, each signed; the first depicting an old tobacco barn with a Coca-Cola painted advertisement, view towards the Blue Ridge Mountains beyond; the second depicts an old wirework gate and split rail fence; both matted and framed under glass.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Lou Messa studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. He moved to Madison, Virginia in the 1960s and has garnered much acclaim for his detailed depictions of the Blue Ridge Mountain landscape.
