Worked in multi-color silk threads on loose weave ground featuring a steepled church to top register with large birds, flower filled urns, and a pair of angels, with figural and floral motifs above pious verse and stitched maker's name "Ellin Whipp Her Work Finished March 13 1829" within an undulating floral border, presented under églomisé glass in an early molded mahogany frame.
