.69 caliber 42 in. round barrel with fixed front sight marked N. CAROLINA before U.S. / J. M. / P at breech, barrel tang stamped 1831, walnut stock stamped with JM inspector's cartouche on left side, iron mounts throughout; the lockplate with eagle over L. POMEROY below hammer and 1831 behind hammer; converted from flintlock to percussion.
