The first worked in multi-color silk treads on linen ground, with various motifs to include flowers, trees, birds, and animals, a woman with child, a girl jumping rope, and centered with Adam and Eve under the tree of good and evil, presented under glass in a molded frame (frame size 18 x 21.25 in.) (with extensive repairs; holes; bottom register with removed rectangular panel; some nicks and losses to frame); the second worked in multi-color silk threads on wool ground, upper register with verse of homage to parents and with urns and flowers, with colorful floral rows and with architectural element above maker's name, "Ann Ferguson / Aged 13 Years / 1827," all enclosed within a flower sprig border, presented under glass in a contemporary frame (frame size 18.75 x 13 5/8 in.) (with scattered holes; weakness to wool ground; some age discoloration).
